Nowak Recall 2005From JS on Line, Waukesha County News Briefs, October 11, 2005:

Citizen group leaders quit to join recall campaigns
City of Pewaukee - Three board members of Pewaukeeans for Better Government have resigned to work on campaigns for candidates running in the Nov. 15 mayoral election forced by recall petitions filed against Mayor Jeff Nowak.

Walter Fiedorowicz, who was a vice president, and Patrick Lyddane, who was treasurer, left the citizen group to work with Chris Durski on her campaign. Durski, who is one of three challenging Nowak in the recall election, resigned from the group Friday. Durski is a Pewaukee School Board member who ran a write-in campaign against Nowak in April 2004 and lost.

Rick Carr, a board member of the citizen group, resigned to work on the campaign of Scott Klein, a Waukesha County Board member and city Plan Commission and Park and Recreation Board member.

Murray Jones, a retired schoolteacher, also is challenging Nowak.

The group turned in petitions containing 3,017 signatures seeking to force a recall election. The petitions were deemed sufficient on Monday.

On Nov. 15, if no candidate gets a majority, the top two vote-getters will advance to a general election on Dec. 13.

Another recall effort in Pewaukee? Not Now!  View Printable Version
    Thursday, October 06 2005 @ 10:52 PM CDT

Nowak Recall 2005An announcement to the press was made, and later rescinded, today by PBG members Patrick Lyddane and Walter Fiedorowicz indicating that a group of citizens in City of Pewaukee District 3 would be forming a committee to explore the recall of Alderman David Mokros.

Mr.’s Lyddane and Fiedorowicz were operating outside of the PBG organization. The focus of Pewaukeeans for Better Government remains on the recall of Mayor Jeff Nowak.

We have empathy with the citizens of District 3, and want to assure the public that Alderman Mokros is not off our radar. The egregious acts of this elected representative will not be forgotten, and will be addressed at the appropriate time with the full force and support of the entire network.
